NOB- Medak news: Medak District Kisan Cell President Pabbati Prabhakar Reddy said that Rahul Gandhi’s statement that he would first sign the Swaminathan Committee’s recommendation when the Congress party comes to power in the upcoming elections as part of Congress party’s national leader Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra is a proof of the Congress party’s sincerity towards the farmers. In a press conference organized at the local MLA camp office on 15.02.2024, he said that the BJP government at the center is not only harassing the farmers, but also torturing the farmers, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, who are taking away the farmers’ upheaval, will be washed away in the Ganges. He said that not only has the central government announced the minimum support price for the farmers for ten years, but since 2014, the farmers have been losing Rs. 800 per season, as the support price has been paid at Rs.2203. Also, BRS party leader of that time, KCR, criticized the farmers for making secret agreements with the BJP party.
