Arun Goel a retired IAS officer was appointed as Election Commissioner by President Draupadi Murumu. The President is pleased to appoint him as Election Commissioner in the Election Commission. In the three member commission of Election Commissioner, a post was vacant from May 15th 2022.
Arun Goel was former Secretary in Ministry of Heavy Industries until 18.11.2022 and was replaced by Kamran Rizvi of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Arun Goel was expected to superannuate from service on December 31st 2022. He also served India as Secretary in Ministry of Culture and also Vice Chairman of Delhi Development Authority.
