
With summer holidays coming to schools and colleges, many children and youth go swimming to the reservoirs to learn how to swim and there is a risk of drowning due to accidents and thus there is a possibility to fill the family with tragedy. District SP Mrs. K. Srujana said in a statement to the people and police officials of the district that those who cannot swim should not go to wells and ponds alone, and advised that children and young women who are learning to swim should learn in the presence of their parents. Parents are advised to take care not to let their children go near water bodies, ponds, drains and pools. She said that children and women should go to the ponds to wash their clothes only with family members who have come to swim. Similarly, under the District Police Department, the Village Police Officers through the village sarpanchs and public representatives are creating awareness about the precautions to be taken by the youth while going to swimming, and warning signs are being installed at the water bodies, and every day in the district. District SP said that they are providing with an artistic troupe who will come to the village to ensure that there are no accidents and no loss of life.
