NOB – Hyderabad news: DGP Anjani Kumar said that every time new challenges arise in the conduct of elections, that’s why participation in this process is always new for every officer. On 22.05.2023, a refresher program was held for the SPs and commissioners through video conference on the conduct of the legislative assembly elections to be held in the state in the next five to six months. DGP explained the pre-arrangements to be made for the elections, code of conduct, old cases etc. Everyone should be aware of the tasks to be done in June and July, coordination with the central forces, deployment of personnel. Anjani Kumar suggested that most of the SPs and commissioners of the districts who are currently working have no experience of conducting elections in the past and they should all take the help of senior officials. Additional DG Soumya Mishra and DCP Abhishek Mohanty, who recently participated in the conduct of Karnataka elections, shared their experiences. Anil Kumar, head of the Intelligence Department said that police officers who have been working in the same place for three years should be removed during the elections.
