NOB- Khammam news: DMHO to organize medical camps in Gurukuls and hostels in government educational institutions under the direction of Khammam District Committee.
The great changes in the climate have caused viral diseases to haunt the students and there are more eye related problems among them, and the number of students are high among the victims of ‘blindness’ who are resorting to the clinics recently. Under the supervision of Khammam district committee, a petition was given to Khammam District Medical Officer Malathi Madam.

On this occasion Khammam District Secretary Venkatesh Palgoni said that until recently high temperatures were there and now incessant rains.The great changes in the weather are bringing viral diseases to the students.Eye related problems are also high among these, he said, although the number of sufferers of eye problems, who are resorting to the clinics recently, are high among gurukuls, masati houses.Khammam Sarvajanasupatri eye department said that 20 out of every hundred patients who are treated in the eye department are students. Apart from this, 4,150 people are receiving OP services every day in CHCs, PHCs, urban hospitals, village and basti dispensaries. Among them, students are the most victims of eye diseases.
They expressed their concern that the students are facing problems due to the fact that the students are getting infected from one to another in blind educational institutions and Gurukul’s hostels.

They lashed out at the students for not paying attention to hygiene and eye protection, saying that the hostel and gurukula authorities are not paying attention to the students getting sick.
Therefore, the officials of the district medical department and the gurukula officials of the education department should immediately respond and make all kinds of facilities and medicines available to the students staying in government gurukula hostels and educational institutions through medical camps.
