
NOB- Visakhapatnam news: The CBI caught bribery in the Visakhapatnam office of the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India. Visakha CBI ACB officials conducted a special operation and caught the top official. Three people, including two officials, were arrested by Central Bureau of Investigation officials. Along with the two officers who took the bribe, the managing director of a company who was seen to get the work done with the bribe was also put behind the bars. At the same time, an official of the level of Joint Director General was caught taking bribe now causing a stir.

Along with Ramesh, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade Vizag Regional Office, Section Head Sribhashyam Venkata Ranganathan was arrested by Visakha CBI ACB wing officers. In addition to the four lakh bribe taken by the Joint Director General. Venkata Ranganathan was caught taking another 50 thousand bribe. But in this case Seetharamaraju, the managing director of Keerthi Indenting Exam Services, who bribed the officials, was also included. The officials demanded a bribe to clear the export and import documents along with the licenses. The joint director demanded a bribe of 4 lakhs and the section head another 50,000. CBI received information that they were ready to take the bribe amount to the office. The CBI officials, who entered the field with the side information, took a bribe from Sitaramaraju, the director general of foreign trade joint, Ramesh, and the section head of the JD office, Venkataranganathan, were caught red-handed by the CBI officials. A case has been filed against Sitharamaraju who gave bribe along with them.

After the arrest of three including two officers, the CBI officials searched the offices and houses of the accused in Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Key documents were seized. The authorities produced the three accused in the court. The court remanded the three till the 18th of September 2023. According to the orders of the CBI court, the accused were sent to the central jail on the orders of CBI court.
