NOB- Ayodhya news: The features of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi mandir are as follows

  1. The shrine is built in the traditional city architect style.

  2. Length (East-West) of the shrine is 380 feet, width 250 feet, height 161 feet.

  3. The shrine has three floors and each floor is 20 feet high. It has a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.

  4. The main sanctum contains the childhood idol of Lord Sri Ram (Sri Ram Lalla) and the Durbar of Lord Sri Ram on the first floor.

5. The shrine has five mandapams (hall) – Nritya mandapam, Ranga mandapam, sabha mandapam, prayer and kirtan mandapam.

6. The pillars and walls of the temple are decorated with idols of deities.

7. Go inside the temple with 32 steps through the lion gate on the east side of the shrine.

8. The temple has ramps and lifts for the convenience of the disabled and elderly.

9. A prakara wall (rectangular) 732 meters long and 14 feet wide was built around the shrine.

10. There are temples of Surya, Devi Bhagwati, Ganapati and Shiva at the four corners of the temple. There is Annapurnamma temple in the north and Hanuman temple in the south.

11. There is a historical well (Sita Koop) of ancient times near the Mandir.

12. In Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Mandir complex, there are shrines of Valmiki Maharshi, Vasishtha Maharshi, Vishwamitra Maharshi, Agastya Maharshi, Nishad Raj, Sabari Mata and Devi Ahalya.

13. In the south-west part of the complex, at Kuber Tila, an ancient shrine of Lord Shiva has been restored along with a statue of Jatayu.

14. Iron is not used anywhere in the shrine.

15. The foundation of the mandir is constructed of 14-meter thick roller-compacted concrete (RCC), which gives it an artificial rock look.

16. For protection from soil moisture, a 21 feet high foundation was constructed using granite.

17. Mandir complex has sewage treatment, water treatment, water supply for fire prevention, dedicated power station.

18. A Pilgrims Facility Center (PFC) with a capacity of 25,000 persons is under construction. Through this, medical facilities & locker facility will be provided to pilgrims.

19. The complex will also have a separate block with bathrooms, washrooms, washbasin, open taps etc.

20. The Mandir is being built entirely in traditional Indian style, using indigenous technology. Ram Mandir is being constructed with special emphasis on environment-water conservation to ensure 70% greenery in the 70 acre area.
