
NOB- Suryapet news: District SP Rahul Hegde organized a mock drill program under the leading energy companies Hindustan Petroleum, GAIL India Limited and PIL Petroleum in the suburbs of Paridi Kesaram village, Suryapet, as part of creating awareness among farmers and people about petroleum and gas pipeline maintenance, accident prevention and precautions to be taken during accidents. The representatives of the organizations explained to the SP that there is a constant monitoring and alarm system with full state-of-the-art sensor system for early detection of accidents.
On this occasion, SP said that there is a possibility of accidents due to leakage of fuel pipelines during agricultural works, road works, bore well works and mining, and the organizations should keep a full vigilance on this. He said that people, farmers, traders, etc. should inform the companies and take care to avoid accidents while digging, boring and drilling in agricultural lands on the way of the pipeline for the purpose of work activities. Deputy Inspector of Factories Sridevi, PIL representatives Kishore, Durga Prasad, GAIL DGM Yogesh, Chief Manager Vengala Rao, HPCL DGM Ankaiah, Operations Officer Gautam Raj, local people and officials participated in this mock drill.
