
NOB- Suryapet news: On 15.04.2024 at 6 o’clock in the morning, on the information given by the locals that there was a fight going on at Moddulacheruvu stage of Munaga police station, the staff of Munaga station went there and questioned them. While investigating the case, a 60-year-old man named Merawat Pool Singh of Nayakuni Thanda village of Tirumalagiri Sagar Mandal, Nalgonda district, his daughter Rajeshwari’s gave birth to first child a girl, while second child was also a girl child, born 20 days ago. A-1 Merawat Pool Singh’s father of Rajeswari thought that since Rajeshwari had two daughters, she would be financially burdened and my daughter would be better off if he sold the born baby to someone who had no children and earned money. A-3) Sheikh Syedamma @ Saibi to was introduced to A-1) by his sister-in-law A-2) Meerawat Durga who was previously working as a sweeper in the hospital. A-2) asked A-4) Mudawat Raja Naik about adopters of children and he said that there are people he knows and introduced A-5) Shivaneni Nagamani, whom he knew, they got into an agreement with A-1 & A-2 to take some of the money received as the after the bay have been sold. A-6) Garikamukku Vijaya Lakshmi of Vijayawada and A-7) Ashok Kumar of Vadapalli as middlemen entered into a sale agreement for Rs.3,00,000/- with the accused A-4 & A-5. According to the agreement, after seeing the baby once, we will talk and take the baby. At Munagala mandal Moddulacheruvu stage, A-4 & A-5 together with A-1 & A-2 took the baby’s mother, Rajeshwari, on the date 15.04.2024 evening at 06.00, they came to the empty space near the Moddulacheruvu stage. At that time, A-1 forcibly snatched the baby from the hands of her mother Rajeshwari and gave it to A-6 & A-7. When Rajeshwari questioned them strongly they said that your father sold your baby to us for Rs.3,00,000/-, she cried and tried to take her baby back. When they did not give it, she screamed loudly, the people around came to know about the matter and informed the police. When they were brought to the police station and interrogated, they admitted their crime and a case No. 81/2024 under Section 370 (4) IPC, Section 81 of JJ Act was registered in Munagala PS and A-1, A-2, A-4 to A- 7 have been arrested and the accused will be produced in the court and sent to remand. A-3, A-8, A-9, A-10 are absconding. 6 cell phones were recovered in this case.
Selling of children is a crime and strict legal action should be taken against those who commit, encourage or induce this type of crime. The SP requested that everyone should work hard for the education of girls for their development. It is known that in the past similar cases were registered against A4 Raju Naik, against A6 Vijayalakshmi and A4 Sindhu. Special Branch Inspector Veeraraghavulu, Munagala CI Ramakrishna Reddy, Munagala SI Anji Reddy, CCS SI Sai Prashanth were present in the media conference.
