NOB-Bengaluru news: A person named Srinivasa Rao from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, who was using Indian SIM cards and helping those who are committing cybercrimes from abroad, was arrested by the Cyber Crime Station of Karnataka State Bengaluru North East Division on 19.05.2024. On his own, through agents, he used to buy SIM cards of various telecom companies from Bangalore, Chennai, Visakhapatnam and other cities and send them to Vietnam and Cambodia through courier. Cyber fraudsters from abroad use these SIM cards to commit frauds. The accused used to commit fraud, making people to believe that they would give part-time jobs and that people would get money by liking videos on YouTube. The investigation has been intensified to get more details from the arrested accused. The parcel used to send 24 SIM cards to Taiwan in the name of accused Srinivasa Rao was confiscated.
