Life imprisonment for accused in murder

RSD-Tangallapally news: In the case of murder, the accused was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs.2000. The district SP said in a statement that Premalatha gave the verdict on 12.07.2024 On this occasion, SP said that, Ilaveni Swapna from Rallapeta village of Tangallapally mandal used to have frequent quarrels between her brother and Naveen. In this sequence, on 07th September 2020, a fight took place between Swapna and Naveen. Sapna’s father Geesa Ramulu tried to stop the quarrel, but an enraged Naveen Ramulu hit him on the head with a shovel and immediately rushed to the hospital. He was shifted and died the next day while receiving treatment. Tangallapalli police registered a case and remanded Naveen. The then C.I. Sarwar filed a charge sheet in the court. Public Prosecutor Narsinga Rao argued in this case, under the supervision of court monitoring SI Ravinder Naidu, constables Narender and Naveen produced 13 witnesses in the court and the judge who examined the antecedents said that the crime was proved and the accused was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of 2000 rupees.
