NOB_ Crime against women are unforgivable sins says PM Modi

NOB-New Delhi news: Prime Minister Modi has clarified that crimes against women are unpardonable sins. It was concluded that there is no point in letting the convicts go. He spoke at the ‘Lakhpati Didi Sammelan’ held in Jalgaon, Maharashtra on 25.08.2024 in the wake of the murder of a young doctor at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata and the cases of sexual abuse of four-year-old girls in Badlapur near Mumbai. He also spoke on the 113th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on air. Protection of mothers and sisters should be given high priority in the country. I mentioned the same point in my Red Fort speech. I am telling every political party and every state government that crimes against women are unpardonable sins. Don’t leave anyone guilty. Those who encourage these crimes should not be spared either. This message should go from top to bottom. “Governments come and go, but protecting the lives and dignity of women is the biggest responsibility of all of us, including the society and the government,” he clarified.

He said that his government has done more for women in the last ten years than the governments formed after independence. He said that till 2014, only Rs.25 thousand crores of loans were given to self-help societies, while his government gave Rs.9 lakh crores during the last decade. He interacted with the millionaire sisters (Lakhpati Didi) in Jalgaon. A revolving fund of Rs.2,500 crore has been released to 48 lakh members of 4.3 lakh associations. “The Lakhpati Didi Scheme is not only about women’s economic development. It is about empowering the future. In the last ten years, we have produced crores of millionaires. In the last two months alone, 11 lakh millionaires have emerged. You will hear that soon our country will become the third largest economy. Women play the biggest role in this. That is why I am determined to make your lives happy as your son and brother. We always make decisions in your best interest. Center will construct 3 crore new houses. We will allot them to women,” explained Modi.

We should grow politically with collective effort

Modi wished that the youth without political background should rise in politics with collective efforts. He called in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that it was people like these who grew up in the freedom struggle. “Some youth told me that family politics is undermining new talent. Many are keen to enter politics. They are waiting for the right opportunity and guidance. Although they are interested, many of them said in letters that they are unable to come because they do not have political heritage from their grandparents.

He expressed hope that all of them can excel in politics with collective effort. He interacted with the young entrepreneurs who had studied in IIT-Madrasa and formed the space startup ‘Galaxy’. The association of the Moran tribe of Barekuri village in Assam with Hoolak gibbons (monkey species) was mentioned on the occasion. ‘Gibbons like bananas and they grow bananas in their hands. In the case of these Vanaras, the programs organized by their family members on birth and death are also done. They are also given names. Recently, these monkeys were troubled by invisible electrical wires. After the villagers informed the government about this, we solved the problem quickly,” Modi said.

The ‘bar’ resolution on the Kolkata incident is poor

Former President Adish Agarwala has criticized Supreme Court Bar Association President Kapil Sibal for trying to downplay the incident of rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. Siba condemned the incident.
