NOB- Waranagal news: With the aim of establishing a society free from drug abuse, a workshop on drug control was organized on 22.11.2024 at the college seminar hall under Nehru Yuva Kendra Warangal and Jangaon Telangana Residential Social Welfare Boys Junior College. The program was presided over by the college principal Dr. Srinivasa Rao, while the chief guest was the District Nehru Yuva Kendra District Youth Officer Chintala Anvesh and District Health Department DMHO Mallikarjuna Rao. On this occasion, DMHO Mallikarjuna Rao, Psychiatrist Siddhartha Reddy, and Nikita Physiologist from the District Health Office spoke and advised the youth to avoid becoming addicted to drugs. With a PPT presentation, he explained what kind of harm can happen to the lives of the youth and students if they take drugs. He advised the youth that in recent times, the youth are increasingly getting addicted to drugs and ruining their lives. He advised the youth not to sacrifice their entire lives for momentary pleasure, and once it becomes a habit, it becomes an addiction, so they should not become addicted to drugs. He asked the youth to inform the dial number 100 and the helpline number 1933 if they see anyone around them using drugs. Later, the officials took a pledge from the participating youth. Nehru Yuva Kendra Officer Banutu Devi Lal, former volunteer Rajender College faculty, staff Anvesh, and students participated in this program in large numbers.
