
NOB- Jharkhand news: Jharkhand CM and JMM chief Hemant Soren, who won the Jharkhand assembly elections with a huge majority, has started preparations to form a new government. In this context, he met Governor Santosh Gangwar on 25.11.2024 and submitted his resignation to the Governor. He submitted a letter of support from the MLAs of the India Alliance to form a new government. Soren was accompanied by the leaders of the alliance. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the new government will be sworn in on November 28th 2024. He said that the process of government formation has been started on behalf of the alliance. He said that he submitted his resignation to the Governor. He said that the Governor has entrusted him with the responsibilities as the caretaker CM. Earlier, a meeting of the leaders of the India Alliance was held. He was elected as the leader of the legislative party in the meeting. He said that the party workers and leaders have expressed their support. Hemant Soren has been elected as the leader of the Jharkhand Legislative Party, Congress leader Subodhkant Sahay said. He is likely to take oath as the CM on the 28th November 2024. The alliance led by Hemant Soren has secured a two-thirds majority in the Jharkhand Assembly elections. In these elections held for 81 seats, the alliance won 56 seats. The opposition BJP got only 24 seats.
