
NOB-Sriharikota news: The PSLV-C59 launch vehicle blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHARC) in Sriharikota. The launch vehicle burst into flames at 4.04 pm on 05.12.2024. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched the European Space Agency (ESA)’s Proba-3 along with a few other small satellites using the PSLV-C59 rocket. Proba-3 carries two satellites. They weigh 550 kg. The aim of this project is to conduct research on the corona, the outer atmosphere of the Sun. For this, they will orbit the Earth in a coordinated manner. ESA said that this is the first time in the world that such a launch has been undertaken.
