
NOB-Tirupati news: A scuffle broke out in the issuance of Vaikunthadwara Sarvadarshan tokens in Tirupati on 08.01.2024 evening. A scuffle broke out at the token issuance centers. A scuffle broke out between devotees in three areas of Tirupati, and a devotee from Salem, Tamil Nadu died at Srinivasam. Four people fell ill in the stampede that took place at the center at Ramana Udu School in Bairagipatteda. Those who fell ill are being treated at Ruya Hospital in Tirupati. Three died while undergoing treatment at Ruya Hospital. Two more devotees died while undergoing treatment at SWIMS Hospital. A total of six people died in the stampede. Similarly, a scuffle broke out at the token issuance center in Satyanarayanapuram. TTD officials have taken a key decision due to the rush of devotees. They have decided to issue tokens immediately. The TTD EO said that the issuance of tokens has been started due to the huge influx of devotees. The officials are working hard to control the rush of devotees. Additional forces have been deployed at all the centers. Devotees are angry that arrangements could not be made properly. So, instead of devotees gathering on the roads for Vaikunthadwara Sarva Darshan tokens, the staff kept them in the park. Devotees were let into the queue lines from Padmavati Park. While the devotees were being let into the queue lines, a scuffle suddenly broke out. A scuffle broke out as security was not arranged at the token issuance centers.Devotees are expressing their anger that arrangements were not made properly at the token issuance centers. Sheds were erected at Vishnu Nivasam and Bhudevi Complex and the devotees were kept there.
