Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections to be held in February 2025, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on 27.01.2025 unveiled the party manifesto. The manifesto outlined the party’s commitments, including employment guarantee for youth, ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’ and free medical treatment for senior citizens. If his party is re-elected, it will also guarantee free bus travel for students and a 50 percent reduction in metro fares. The former Delhi Chief Minister reiterated his promise of providing a monthly allowance of Rs.2,100 to women if they are voted back to power. He assured voters that if given another mandate, the AAP government will focus on providing clean drinking water, cleaning the Yamuna river and improving roads in the next five years. Kejriwal said that the six freebies including free education, healthcare, bus travel for women, water and electricity will continue. BJP vs AAP manifesto debate, on the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP released the third part of its manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections to be held on February 5th 2025. If the BJP comes to power, it has promised to provide ownership rights in 1,700 unauthorised colonies and clean the Yamuna river in three years. The BJP has also promised free medical treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
