NOB-Tirupati District news: The Ratha Saptami celebrations in Tirumala are in full swing, with devotees flocking to the temple from early morning. Tirumala has become auspicious with the annual Ratha Saptami celebrations of Srivari. On the day of Ratha Saptami, which is considered a one-day Brahmotsavam, Srivari is seen roaming in the streets on seven vehicles and appearing before the devotees.During the annual Brahmotsavams, Srivari is seen roaming in the streets on 16 vehicles for 9 days. On the day of Ratha Samaptami, Srivari is seen roaming the streets on seven vehicles and appearing before the devotees for only one day.The giver of light to all living beings the cause of consciousness, Lord Surya, is the visible Narayana to the people. It is the tradition of TTD to organize Rath Saptami celebrations on the birthday of Aditya, the birthday orSurya Jayanti.The procession of Govind, which began with the Surya Prabha Vahanam at sunrise on 04.02.2025, will end with the Chandra Prabha Vahanam at night. Srinivasa said that in a single day, he will take a procession through the streets of Mada on the vehicles of Surya Prabha, Chinna Sesha, Garuda, Hanumantha, Kalpa Vriksha, Sarva Bhupala, and Chandra Prabha, pleasing the devotees.The procession of the Swamiji began with the Surya Prabha Vahanam service at 5:30 in the morning on 04.02.2025. The muhurtum has been decided that the sun’s rays will shine on the feet of Malayappa Swami at 6:44 in the morning on 04.02.2025.TTD officials are making arrangements so that devotees can get food and drinks at the galleries every hour. 200 galleries have been set up in Madaveedhi and 65 food counters have been set up.

TTD has canceled special darshans, VIP break darshans and Arjitha services on the occasion of Rath Saptami.
