NOB-Hyderabad news: Several gangs have been caught in the capital and its surrounding areas recently, who are engaged in prostitution with foreign girls. Most of these victims are Bangladeshi girls. With this, the investigating officers focused on the method by which they enter the country illegally. Based on the primary evidence, some key things have been identified. It has been found that West Bengal is the key to this human trafficking racket. Some of the masterminds there have also set up a network in Bangladesh. It has come to light that they are charging Rs. 4,000 per person to cross the border illegally through them. The border districts of West Bengal have become crucial for the smuggling of Bangladeshis as well as Myanmaris. In the wake of the situation in those countries, smuggling has increased in recent times. New gangs have emerged to cash in on this. The people leading these have followers in border villages in West Bengal as well as Bangladesh. The investigating officers have identified Rahul Aman Dali of Soladana village in Basirhat district of West Bengal as a key among such ringleaders. Bangladeshis who intend to cross the border illegally are reaching the border villages in that country. Rahul’s followers who contact them are making a deal for Rs. 4,000. If the demand is high, they are getting Rs. 5,000. Rahul is exchanging this amount with the young women into Indian currency at the shopkeepers in the border villages in Bangladesh. He gets this money transferred to him through some other middlemen through bank accounts or UPI. From this amount, he gives Rs. 1000 as a commission to his followers from villages on both sides of the border. While those there send the young women at a suitable place and time, those here receive them and move them to a safe place. Officials say that Rahul has been running this business without coming to the fore anywhere. Rahul, who has been doing this business since 2017, has links with some gangs from Kolkata. With their help, he gets fake identity cards made and gives them to those who pay the demanded amount. In this way, the Bangladeshi young women who are getting Aadhaar and voter IDs here are circulating as West Bengal residents. Some middlemen are moving the said young women to other cities including Hyderabad. They are brought in the name of jobs and forced into prostitution dens. A very small number of people are working in massage parlors, bars and restaurants. In the same vein, officials have identified some Bangladeshi youths who are also illegally crossing the border. A comprehensive report is being prepared on the background of this human trafficking network. Who is playing a key role? Where are they crossing the border from? The investigating officers have decided to bring such issues to the attention of the intelligence agencies as well as the Border Security Force. Some of the human trafficking cases registered in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda have been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for investigation. With this, it is known that coordination will be established with that department and information will be exchanged.
