NOB-Bharat news: The Government of India has appointed Dr. Byreddy Sabari, Member of Parliament from Nandyal and Deputy Floor Leader of TDP in Lok Sabha, as the Joint Convener of the Indian Medical Parliamentarians Forum (IMPF). This was announced by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chairperson of the Indian Medical Parliamentarians Forum, Jagat Prakash Nadda (JP Nadda), in a statement. I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed Members of Parliament for their unwavering dedication and remarkable contribution in addressing public health issues in India. Since its inception in 2006, IMPF has emerged as a key force in the healthcare landscape of our country, seamlessly integrating medical expertise into the legislative process. IMPF is a steadfast advocate for health for all. The unique composition of the Forum, comprising medical experts from both Houses of Parliament, enables it to effectively bridge the gap between the public and Parliament on critical health issues. This role is crucial in ensuring that the needs and concerns of our citizens are adequately reflected in public health policies, I commend IMPF’s unwavering commitment to promoting universal health coverage, addressing health care disparities, and improving governance. By harnessing the collective expertise of its members, the Forum has consistently worked to ensure equitable access to health care services across the country to reduce disparities in health outcomes. I am particularly pleased to note the recent leadership transition in IMPF, with Dr. Anil Bonde, Member of Parliament, taking over as Chairperson. Dr. Bonde’s dedication and active involvement in the Forum’s activities make him an ideal leader to take the IMPF mission forward. Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that under his guidance, I am confident that IMPF will play a key role in shaping health policies and laws that will benefit our country. I extend my active support to all the initiatives of IMPF. He called on all of us to work together for a healthier and more equitable India. Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, MP from Guntur, and Dr. Byreddy Sabari, MP from Nandyal, thanked the Central Government for giving the opportunity.
