NOB-Hyderabad news: Jeevan Lal, a member of the Indian Revenue Service, is working as an exemption commissioner in the Income Tax Department in Hyderabad. He asked the bribe from a businessman to settle tax-related issues related to his company. He demanded a total of 70 lakhs. After receiving information, the CBI trapped him. Jeevan Lal was arrested while taking the bribe. Jeevan Lal’s father, Ramulu Nayak, is an independent MLA from the Vaira constituency in Telangana. He contested and won in 2018 after the Congress party did not give him a ticket. Later, he joined the BRS. He did not get a ticket in the last election.  The CBI arrested him and conducted searches at his house and office. Along with the bribe money, some property-related documents were seized. Jeevan Lal was produced in court and taken into CBI custody. Jeevan Lal’s wife is an IPS officer.
