NOB-Uttar Pradesh news: Monkeys near temples pick up coconut shells, prasad and various other items from the hands of devotees. A monkey did just that in a temple in Uttar Pradesh. It picked up a purse from the hands of a devotee. It was no ordinary purse. It contained jewellery worth Rs. 20 lakhs. Not knowing what to do the victims contacted the police. After searching hard, the police finally found the purse. The incident took place in Brindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Abhishek Agarwal from Aligarh had come to the Banke Bihari temple in Brindavan with his family. Fearing that there might be thieves in the temple, he took out his wife’s jewellery and put it in the purse. While returning from the temple, the monkey that had been guarding there took away the bag containing jewellery worth Rs. 20 lakhs and ran away. The victims searched hard for it. No matter how hard they searched, they found nothing. They informed the police. The police who arrived at the scene examined the CCTV cameras. They searched intensively for the monkey and the bag. After a long time, the purse was found in the bushes.
