
NOB- Telangana news: CM Revanth Reddy congratulated Vankudothu Saritha, who joined Telangana RTC as the first woman driver. He said that women can excel in any field if given the opportunity. He congratulated Saritha for taking the lead with confidence. He said that in the current situation where women are being made owners of RTC buses, the appointment of women drivers is a key step forward. He said that women are showing their talent in all fields like education, science, profession, business, sports, and the army. Revanth Reddy said that the role of women in household responsibilities and community building is unprecedented. He congratulated that women are facing many insults and overcoming obstacles and are moving forward on the path of success, and Saritha is standing as an example for everyone. CM Revanth Reddy reminded that the government has started several programs to empower self-help groups in the state through the “Indira Mahila Shakti” scheme. He urged every woman to take a step forward with confidence to achieve the goal of making one crore people millionaires.
Saritha TG, a resident of Sityathanda, Narayanapur mandal, Sansthan, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, joined the RTC as the first woman driver. On her first day, on 14.06.2025, she drove a Hyderabad-Miriyalaguda trip bus. Saritha, who worked as a driver in the national capital Delhi, had reached her hometown to take care of her parents, who were old. Saritha requested District Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to give her an opportunity to become a bus driver in the state. They responded and gave her a job as a driver.
