
NOB-Bharat news: The Railways has launched a new app to provide its services to passengers in a more convenient manner. It is the RAIL ONE app. All the features related to the train will be available here. Now there is no need to use one app for booking railway tickets, another app for meals on the train, another app to know the train running status or PNR status. The Railways has launched a new app to bring all the services under one umbrella. Its name is ‘Rail One’. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav launched this app. Android phone users can download the RailOne app from the Google Play Store and iPhone users from the Apple App Store. The Railway Minister described it as a railway super app as it has integrated all the services related to the railway. It provides all the digital services provided by the Indian Railways on a single platform. This includes facilities like ticket booking, train status, platform ticket, food order and filing complaints. This app eliminates the need to use a separate app for each service for years. It makes travel easier by saving the valuable time and effort of the passenger. The RailOne app has been developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). It is connected to the IRCTC server. So that along with railway ticket booking, all other services provided by IRCTC can be availed. Like apps providing banking services and e-commerce services, this app provides m-PIN facility for secure login. Thus, keeping the user information safe While the app developed by IRCTC is already available there may be doubts about how this new Rail One app works. The RailOne app will not completely replace the IRCTC app. The IRCTC app will still be there. But with the arrival of Swarail, passengers will get a better option. Swarail is a super-app that combines the services of the IRCTC app with other railway services. Through this app, people will be able to book railway tickets and also register their complaints on defects and problems in railway services. Also, messaging, social media, e-commerce, payments and other services will be available in the super app. Thus, it will become a complete railway digital ecosystem. This super app will create new revenue opportunities for developers and those who do business with the railway. Thus, the services can be made available to a large number of users.
