NOB- Rewa news: A husband murdered his wife. He made a master plan to escape from the murder. He buried his wife’s body in a field and planted vegetables on it. Then he left the village. He escaped without being found by anyone for 9 months. Finally, he was caught by the police and sent to jail. This incident took place in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Devmuni Majhi and Ramvati are husband and wife residing in the limits of Sohagi police station in Rewa district. They have a daughter and a son. Devmuni used to grow vegetables in the field on Jail Road. His wife and daughter used to help him in this. On October 11, 2024, Devmuni killed his wife. He killed her by putting insecticide in her mouth. He then buried her body in the field. To avoid suspicion, he planted vegetable plants on her grave. In the afternoon, Ramvati’s son Abhilash Majhi came to the field. His mother was not found there. He asked his sister about his mother. She said that his mother had gone to Prayagraj. When his mother did not return home even in the evening, Abhilash Majhi complained to the police. The police registered a case and started investigating. In the wake of the police case, Devmuni fled the village with his daughter. The police found that Devmuni had buried his wife in the field. Ramvati’s body was recovered from the field. A search was launched for Devmuni, who was absconding. Recently, he was arrested. He was produced in court.
