NOB- Bihar news: She brutally hacked her husband to death in front of her son’s eyes. The twelve-year-old son was terrified when she threatened that if he opened his mouth, he would also face the same fate. This gruesome incident took place in Purnia district of Bihar. The accused revealed to the police that she had done this act for her boyfriend, which shocked everyone. According to the police, Balo Das (45) and Usha Devi, a couple from Purnia district, live with their three children. Balo Das works as a labourer in Punjab and supports his family. Usha Devi, who was still in her hometown, had an extramarital affair with another young man in the village. Thinking that she could not leave him, Usha Devi sold the house plot without her husband’s knowledge to get up and leave. She planned to elope with her boyfriend with the money. Meanwhile, the husband, who learned about the sale of the land, rushed to the village and confronted his wife. Since she had been staying at home for a few days, she had not been able to meet her boyfriend. So, deciding to get rid of her husband, she slit her husband’s throat with a lawnmower on 13.07.2025 night. When her son, who was sleeping next to her, saw blood splattered on his face, he opened his eyes and was shocked. He screamed in fear and his mother threatened to cut him off if he didn’t shut up, so he stayed there until dawn. When the relatives were informed in the morning, all the villagers and relatives reached Balodas’ house. On receiving the information, the police shifted Baloda’s body to the hospital and arrested Ushadevi. The police said that Ushadevi had confessed to killing her husband to run away with her boyfriend.
