NOB-USA news: Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s space journey has come to an end. Shubhanshu’s team, who spent almost 18 days at the International Space Station, reached Earth safely on 15.07.2025. The spacecraft they were travelling in landed in the sea waters near California, USA at 03:01 pm on 15.07.2025. Later, the crew there reached them and brought them into the ship. Within a few minutes, the astronauts greeted each other and stepped on the ship. It is known that ISRO has already announced that the astronauts will be quarantined for seven days after reaching Earth. It is stated that this decision has been taken to allow the bodies of the astronauts who have spent time in zero gravity to get used to the Earth’s environment. ISRO flight surgeons will continuously monitor the health and fitness of astronauts for a week. It is known that this experiment was undertaken as part of the Axiom-4 mission. As part of this mission, four astronauts including Subhanshu Shukla went to the ISS. Subhanshu Shukla created a record by becoming the second Indian astronaut to go into space. In 1984, Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma became the first to go into space in the Soyuz T-11 spacecraft under the Intercosmos mission of the Soviet Union and stayed for eight days. With the latest experiment, Subhanshu created a record by becoming the second Indian to go into space after 41 years. He is also the first Indian to go to the ISS. A farewell ceremony was held at the space station on 13.07.2025 in preparation for the return journey.
