NOB- Prakasam district news: Prakasam District SP A.R Damodar, IPS., congratulated the police officers and staff who played a key role in arresting the accused, Crime No.: 54/2025 u/s 333, 324(6),307 r/w 3(5) BNS of H.M.Padu PS.
Accused arrested:
1. Gidda Edukondalu, father Chinna Polaiah, age 35 years, Papireddy Palli village, Hanumanthunipadu mandal.
2. Kande Madhu Babu @ Madhu, father Venkata Subbaiah, age 22 years, Papireddy Palli village, Hanumanthunipadu mandal.
3. Sunkisala Regan, father Kriparao, age 37 years, Kondareddy Palli village, Hanumanthunipadu mandal.
4. Palaparthi Raju, father Kotaiah, age 37 years, Patur village, Kanigiri (previously (7) cases)
5. Sheikh Paccha Vali @ Nizam, father Moulali, age 61 years, Daruvu Bazaar, Kanigiri Town.
6. Vemula Edukondalu, father Narasihu, aged 45, near Power Office, Pamuru Town
The mentioned persons, out of greed, formed a gang with the intention of luxuriating with the money they had dug up gold treasures in old temples and entered the Ranganayaka Swamy temple located in Mallappa Shela forest in Nandanavanam Panchayat of Hanumanthunipadu Mandal and have been conducting excavations for the past few days. On 22.08.2025 at around 5:30 am, the complainant and another person received information and tried to stop them, but the accused attacked them with shovels and crowbars and tried to kill them. The complainant and his companion escaped from there and went to Nandanavanam village and returned with some other villagers. However, the accused had already noticed the arrival of the villagers and fled. A case was registered on the basis of the complaint filed by the complainant and on the orders of Prakasam District SP A.R. Damodar, IPS., under the supervision of Kanigiri DSP Sai Eshwar Yashwanth, Kanigiri CI Khajavali, Hanumanthunipadu SI Madhav Rao and their staff formed teams and investigated from all angles, using technology, the accused were cleverly caught and arrested at Sadhana Restaurant in Kanigiri on 28.08.2025 at 10:40 pm. The TATA ACE vehicle with registration number AP 39 UH 7048 used in the crime, 3 plastic bullets, and 2 shovels found at the crime scene were seized from them for investigation of the case. The police have launched extensive search operations for four other absconding accused and some others. The District SP specially congratulated Kanigiri DSP Sai Eshwar Yashwanth, Kanigiri CI Khajavali, Hanumanthunipadu SI Madhavarao, Head Constable Hari, Constables Praveen, Sandani, Badulla and Srinu, who played a key role in arresting the accused in this case.
