
NOB- Karimnagar news: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar advised the officials to create more awareness among the people about the importance of nutrition. On 27.10.2025, the closing ceremony of Nutrition Month was organized under the Women Development and Child Welfare Department at Kala Bharathi in the district center, where Union Minister Bandi Sanjay attended and spoke as the chief guest. Parents want to ensure that their children are healthy and do not suffer from malnutrition. They want to make changes in the food they eat accordingly. If malnutrition is overcome in childhood, children will become physically and mentally strong. He explained that the center has allocated 21 thousand crores for the welfare of children in one financial year. It was said that 52,000 people have benefited in the district. He praised the District Collector for giving high priority to the welfare, education and medical treatment of children. He said that according to the reports, our district is at the forefront in the state with the performance of the relevant department officials. He suggested that health problems arise due to lack of awareness. Everyone should increase awareness about nutrition. In modern times, everyone takes some tablet every day, and he hoped that this would decrease. He announced that MP Lads would provide funds for the development of Anganwadi centers. The youth and students are becoming addicted to marijuana and drugs. The Union Minister advised parents to constantly observe their behavior, such as what children are doing. Whom they are meeting. What they are eating. He said that the Central Government has introduced the Drug-Free India program for a drug-free society. He said that if anyone know about drugs, they should inform the police. Bicycles were given to 20,000 people. The Union Minister stated that bicycles have been given to boys and girls studying in class 10 in government schools in the Karimnagar Parliament area. He said that the Central Government is giving priority to medicine. He said that X-ray machines and other facilities are being provided in government hospitals with the funds provided by the Central Government. He said that treatment up to five lakh rupees can be obtained under the Ayushman Bharat Card. The Union Minister praised the services provided by the Anganwadi staff. Local Bodies Additional Collector Ashwini Tanaji Wakade said that the main purpose of this program is to explain what kind of food to eat so as not to fall into the path of diseases. He advised the staff to reduce their number in the district as children are suffering from malnutrition in the current society. He said that 90 percent of the brain grows by the age of five. In the meantime, it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that children do not suffer from malnutrition. Parents are advised to definitely go to the nearest Anganwadi center and learn about nutrition. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prapul Desai said that several competitions are being organized to create awareness about nutrition food and health. He said that we should eat only food that is good for health. He said that we should ensure that our plates contain food rich in proteins, vitamins and fiber. Women should not neglect their health. Everyone should eat together at home. He advised them to go to government hospitals if they fall ill and get medical tests done. District Welfare Officer Saraswati shas explained the programs undertaken as part of the Nutrition Month. She explained the Rangoli competitions, poster making and wall painting as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, and the programs undertaken with members of the support groups through the Conscious Club. On this occasion, the Union Minister inspected the nutrition stalls set up in the premises. Later, Annaprasana and Seemantham programs were organized. Later, the Nutrition Pledge and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Pledge were taken. Later, prizes were given to the winners and participants of the cooking competitions.
