The District Police Department is constantly working hard to protect the safety and security of the people and property. We are conducting regular inspections throughout the district every day, creating awareness among the people about the implementation of laws, crimes and the implementation of punishment in cases. We are taking advantage of the available technological resources and are solving a large number of cases. On this occasion, the SP urged the citizens to abide by the law and not to commit crimes, saying that no one can escape from the law if they commit crimes. On 12.11.2025, at Khammam X-road under the jurisdiction of Suryapet Second Town Police Station, at around 6 am, SI Suresh and his team under the leadership of Suryapet Town Inspector Venkat were checking vehicles when a person was suspiciously riding a two-wheeler and was checked. The accused A1 was identified as Vemuri Krishna. When his fingerprints were checked through the Fingerprint Identification Network System, we found that Vemuri Krishna has about 150 cases of bike theft. When he was arrested and interrogated, he confessed to stealing a total of 26 motorcycles, targeting expensive bikes, in Suryapet town, Khammam, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda district limits and Hyderabad as well as in various parts of the state of Andhra Pradesh. He also confessed that out of these motorcycle thefts, 06 motorcycles were stolen in collaboration with A-1 A-2 Sivakumar. Out of the total 26 motorcycles stolen, A1 Krishna kept one motorcycle with him and the remaining 25 motorcycles were kept with A2 Rekhala Sivakumar. Next, A1 was taken to A2’s house and A2 was questioned. A2 Rekhala Shivakumar told the locals that he was a security guard at HDFC Bank and that he was working as a recovery agent for HDFC Bank vehicles. He also told them that they had stolen 06 motorcycles together. He sold 04 of those motorcycles to people he knew in Nakirekal mandal and kept the remaining 20 motorcycles at his house to sell to someone.
