NOB- Telangana news: The Telangana Health Department on 17.11.2025 announced the completion of recruitment for 1,284 Lab Technician (Grade–2) posts, marking a key phase in the government’s ongoing effort to strengthen public healthcare services across the State. Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha released the final selection list at the Secretariat, in the presence of Health Secretary Christina Z Chongthu and senior officials. The Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board had issued the notification late 2024 year, receiving 24,045 applications, with 23,323 candidates appearing for the computer-based examination. Following the evaluation process, the Board finalised the list of selected candidates, the details of which have been uploaded on its official website. Extending his congratulations to the newly selected candidates, the Minister said that government hospitals which had long struggled with manpower shortages were now witnessing a significant improvement in staffing levels. This, he noted, has translated into better service delivery and enhanced patient care across multiple government health facilities. Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha Cilarapu said that the present government has filled over 9,000 vacancies in the Health Department in the past two years. Recruitment for more than 7,000 additional posts is currently in progress. The ongoing process includes key medical positions such as doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and pharmacists, along with other essential support roles required to upgrade healthcare infrastructure. He added that government hospitals, which once appeared understaffed and inactive, are now “vibrant and fully functional,” with patient inflow increasing as a result of improved services. The Minister assured that the remaining recruitment processes would be completed at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted medical services throughout the State.
