
NOB-Telangana news: On the Indiramma Saree Distribution Program. On 19.11.2025, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a video conference with the Collectors of all districts and members of the Women’s Federation from the Secretariat. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Vakati Srihari, CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Government Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and other high officials participated. On this occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said in the video conference that on the occasion of Indira Gandhi Jayanti, they are starting the distribution of one crore Indiramma Sarees to one crore women. He said that as part of this, the state government has decided to distribute Indiramma sarees to women. A special officer should be appointed for each constituency regarding the distribution process of Indiramma sarees. Indiramma sarees should be distributed in phases in all mandal centers in the constituencies under the public representatives. Indiramma saree distribution program should be carried out in a festive atmosphere. Indiramma sarees are being distributed under the name of Mahila Unnati- Telangana Pragathi Program. Women are not only provided free travel in RTC buses, but women have been made their owners. The responsibility of sewing uniforms in schools has been entrusted to women’s organizations. Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar has been set up on 3 acres in Indiramma Canteens and Shilparamam. We are in talks with Amazon for an online market. They said that they are trying to bring recognition to products made by women at the national and international levels. They said that the government is moving forward with the aim of making one crore women millionaires. They said that the officials should act transparently so that every woman gets Indiramma sarees with complete details. They said that Indiramma sarees will be distributed in rural areas from till December 9th 2025. They said that Indiramma sarees will be distributed in urban areas from March 1st to 8th 2026. They said that the government has decided to distribute one crore sarees to one crore women. Speaking, Minister Seethakka said that Indira Gandhi is a testament to women’s power. He said that CM Revanth Reddy has initiated a program to distribute sarees free of cost to women in the state in the name of Indiramma. He said that the state government is working to strengthen women’s associations. He said that the sky is the limit and that blue sarees are being distributed to women to represent the color of the sky. District Collector Pamela Satpathi, Additional Collectors Ashwini Tanaji Wakade, Lakshmi Kiran, Municipal Commissioner Prapul Desai, DRO Venkateswarlu, and District and Mandal Federation President Secretaries participated in this video conference from the Karimnagar Collectorate Conference Hall. District Collector Pamela Satpathi said that the Federation President Secretaries of Women’s Associations should monitor that sarees are distributed to all eligible people as part of the Indiramma Saree Distribution Program. After the Chief Minister’s video conference, the Collector held a meeting with the District and Mandal Women’s Federation President Secretaries. Speaking at this meeting, he said that the Federation President Secretaries should monitor that the sarees provided by the government to women reach everyone. He said that the district has completed the target in open school and adult education enrolment. He said that a large number of members of self-help groups have registered for open 10th class and intermediate. He advised all of them to attend classes as well. He said that teachers are organizing a parent’s meeting every third Saturday in government schools, and the federation members should ensure that parents attend this meeting. He said that women’s groups that have started businesses with various units sanctioned under the Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme should utilize the opportunity with hard work and perseverance and make profits. He said that it is a great thing to be ranked number one in the district in sanctioning and recovering bank linkage loans, and similarly, the groups operating grain purchase centers should achieve good results.
