
NOB-Hyderabad news: Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy on 19.11.2025 appreciated the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for arresting the Sub-Inspector of Tekmal Police Station in Medak district on charges of corruption. DGP specially applauded ACB Director General Charu Sinha and the ACB officers and staff involved in the operation.The DGP stated that corrupt police officers and personnel must not be spared under any circumstances. Referring to the arrest of the Tekmal SI, DGP advised police officers and staff to introspect and review their own conduct and professionalism.Commenting on reports of local residents bursting firecrackers and celebrating the arrest, the DGP said the incident sends a strong message that people will not tolerate corruption in any form and expect transparent, ethical, and service oriented policing. He observed that such incidents seriously undermine public trust in the police department.The DGP further cautioned that supervisory officers will also be held accountable if any personnel under their command are found involved in corrupt activities. Director General of Police stressed that police officers and personnel must uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and honesty in public service.
