Till now a total of 13 cases have been reported positive for Monkeypox virus in India, among them eight cases were reported from Delhi alone. Most of the reported cases have swelling in lymph nodes. Though it’s a zoonotic disease, its spread is seen in humans too. It can be treated with the smallpox virus medications as it belongs to same family of smallpox viruses. Doctors cautioning that everyone should be careful as this has started spreading in its own way.
