NOB-Chittoor news: On 17.12.2025 night, ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) officials conducted raids at the Punganur Tahsildar’s office in Chittoor district. During these raids, Village Surveyor Sriramulu was caught red handed by the ACB while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000. Uma Shankar, who had applied for a survey of 8 guntas of land in Mangalam Panchayat, had submitted his application at the Mangalam Secretariat 15 days ago. The surveyor was caught by the ACB while accepting Rs. 20,000 as part of an agreed upon bribe of Rs. 50,000 for issuing the survey certificate.
