NOB- Manuguru news: It is known that in the recent local elections of Lankamallaram Gram Panchayat in Manuguru mandal, the Congress-backed candidates, including the Sarpanch, secured a resounding victory with a huge majority, winning all the wards. On 22.12.2025, on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony of the winning candidates, Sarpanch Poonem Ramesh, immediately after taking the oath, fulfilled his promise to the people and installed streetlights in the Gram Panchayat at his own expense, making public service his goal. He took this decision with the intention of bringing light to the village that was shrouded in darkness and illuminating the lives of the people living in gloom.
