NOB-Medchal news: A brutal murder that took place under the limits of Medipally Police Station in Medchal district has come to light. The wife, who murdered her husband because he was an obstacle to her extramarital affair, failed in her attempt to make it look like he died of a heart attack. The wife’s heinous act was exposed by the post-mortem report. According to the police, VK Ashok (45) and Poornima (36), a couple residing in Brundavan Colony, Boduppal, were married 12 years ago. They have an eleven year old son. Ashok worked at a private university, while Poornima gave tuition to children at home. Last year, Poornima developed a relationship with Paleti Mahesh (22), who belonged to the same colony, and this led to an extramarital affair. Suspecting this, Ashok warned his wife several times. Believing that eliminating her husband would remove any obstacles to their illicit relationship, Poornima, along with Mahesh, plotted the murder. Mahesh contacted his friend Saikumar (22) to help with the murder, and he agreed. On the afternoon of the 11.12.2025, Mahesh and Sai came to Poornima’s house and hid in a room. In the evening, as soon as Ashok returned home, the three of them together held his hands and legs, and strangled him with a scarf, killing him. Afterwards, Poornima filed a complaint with the police, claiming that Ashok had died of a heart attack. However, the post-mortem report revealed that strangulation was the cause of death.  The police then took Ashok’s wife, Poornima, into custody and interrogated her. She confessed to the crime and explained the entire incident. Following this, the police arrested Poornima, Mahesh, and Saikumar and remanded them to judicial custody.
