Acting on credible information, a police team led by SI Ramesh of Ichoda Police Station conducted a raid at Hirapur village of Ichoda Mandal and unearthed a large scale illegal cannabis cultivation.

The main accused was cultivating ganja plants secretly among crop fields and allegedly involved others in the illegal activity by encouraging them to consume and sell the drug for profit. The accused were reportedly selling ganja to travellers along the national highway for easy money.
