A major earthquake was forecast in Japan

NOB-Japan news: A huge earthquake occurred in Japan. A 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit Ehime and Kochi regions in southern Japan on 17.04.2024 night, the country’s weather agency said. The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded in Bungo Channel, a strait that separates the Japanese islands of Kyushu and Shikoku. People were panicked due to a sudden tremor. However, local media reported that there was no damage due to the earthquake. Authorities are not issuing tsunami warnings. It seems that there is a possibility of damage to property as the intensity is high on the Richter scale. Japanese government spokesman Yoshimasa Hayashi said that while a reactor at the Ikata Nuclear Power Plant in Ehime was working, it was not damaged. He warned that there is a risk of another earthquake.
