
NOB-Asifabad news: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials were caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 75,000/- for transporting PDS rice loaded in lorries belonging to a complainant from his godown to the civil supplies godown in Asifabad. The officials who took the bribe are Asifabad District Civil Supplies Office Manager Gurubelli Venkat Narasimha Rao and Technical Assistant (Neighbourhood Services) Kothagolla Manikanth. In a trap operation launched on the complaint of the complainant, the two were caught red handed by ACB officials while accepting the bribe amount. Later, a case was registered against them under the Prevention of Corruption Act and investigation is underway. ACB officials appealed to the public that, if any government employee asks for a bribe, they can immediately dial the Telangana Anti-Corruption Department toll-free number 1064.
