NOB- Vikarabad news: P. Venu Gopal Goud, Sub-Inspector of Police, Dharur Police Station of Vikarabad district and his driver K. Beerappa were caught by ACB Telangana officilas for demanding and accepting bribe amount of Rs.30,000/- from the complainant for issuing station bail (Issuing a notice under section 35 of BNSS) to the Complainant, his family members and removing the complainant’s Son’s name from a Case registered in Dharur Police Station. ACB said  to dial 1064 for reporting corruption. SI Venugopal Goud was awarded as best SI of vikarabad by the Collector on January 26th 2025 – These are the cases where the police, who are supposed to stand by the people and deliver justice, are committing corruption. There is a feeling of contempt among the people towards many policemen who threaten the people and take bribes. People’s trust in the police is waning. Justice is becoming a slave to money. People are feeling that any case can be bought with money and politics. Hopes in the police department are gradually waning. Recently, the police department recognized him as the best SI and presented him with the award on January 26th 2025 during the Republic Day celebrations by District Collector Pratik Jain and District SP Narayana Reddy. He is working as a Dharur SI. On 11.02.2025, Best SI Venugopal Goud demanded a bribe of Rs. 70 thousand from the victims to save a person from a case. He warned the victims several times that he would register a case and send them to jail if they did not pay the money. They made an agreement to pay Rs. 70,000/- as a bribe. A person from Nagasamandar village in Dharur mandal agreed. He initially agreed to pay Rs. 30,000. Later, he contacted the ACB officials. In the trap laid by the ACB officials, the best SI Venugopal Goud and his driver Beerappa caught red handed. Later, during the tests conducted, it was found that they were corrupt and were arrested. The ACB officials said that both of them will be produced before the Nampally ACB court.
