NOB- Nalgonda news: During the monthly district crime review meeting held at the District Police Office, the District SP Sharath Chandra Pawar, IPS, reviewed various measures being taken to control crime, pending case status, proactive efforts by officers, and steps to ensure convictions through proper legal proceedings. The SP urged officials to serve transparently in line with public expectations and gain people’s trust. SP highlighted the rise in organized crime and instructed all departments to work diligently without compromising on law and order. Special attention was drawn to the role of CCTV surveillance in improving public safety, encouraging officers to take initiative in expanding community policing through camera installations. SP stated that the police department must aim to ensure justice by punishing the guilty and protecting the innocent, especially by focusing on women’s safety and delivering prompt, quality services and instructed officers to expedite investigations and file charge sheets in POCSO, SC/ST, grave and non-grave cases under investigation. Regarding road safety, he stressed the need to follow all necessary norms and coordinate with concerned departments and the public to resolve traffic issues. SP also instructed teams to stay alert during day and night patrolling to prevent theft, maintain surveillance on rowdy sheets and suspects, and raise public awareness on cybercrimes, online betting, and illegal loan apps. The SP emphasized cracking down on antisocial activities like illegal ganja trade, gambling, diversion of PDS rice, and unauthorized sand transport. Later, Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau DSPs Narsinga Rao and Shiva Naidu explained the NDPS Act procedures—how to search the accused, seize ganja as per legal protocols, and ensure lawful convictions in court.
