The first gold loan ATM in India has been launched by the Central Bank of India in Warangal. Managing Director and CEO M.V. Rao launched the ATM on 07.03.2025 This ATM works on the basis of artificial intelligence. On this occasion, M.V. Rao said that this will be a game changer innovation in the financial sector. This ATM processes the gold loan in just 10 to 12 minutes. This AI ATM processes gold loans very quickly by verifying Aadhaar and mobile number. When gold ornaments are placed in the ATM machine, it assesses their quality and weight. Depending on the quality of the gold, it makes payment based on the current market prices. It is said that it measures the ornaments and makes payment with very accurate calculations. After weighing the gold placed in the ATM machine, 10 percent of the amount is paid in cash at the ATM on the spot. The remaining amount is transferred to the account. However, the users must be central bank account holders. This ATM is useful for saving the time of bank staff as well as customers. Similarly, this technology ATM will help people not to depend on officials for gold loans and avoid any mistakes. If it is successful, CEO M.V. Rao said that it will be installed in all branches of the country.
