Case Filed against Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme

News Of Bharath : A public interest litigation has been filed in the High Court against the Telangana government’s scheme Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa.Gavinolla Srinivas of Narayanapet filed the petition. The petitioner stated that the state government has designed this scheme to pay Rs.12 thousand annually to the landless farmers. Lawyer Chikudu Prabhakar, representing the petitioner, told the court that there are more than 8 lakh farmers in 129 municipalities in the state. He said it is not correct to give it to the farmers in the villages and not to those in the municipalities. Farmers are said to be equal wherever they are. *Applying this scheme only to the peasant laborers in the villages is against the judgments of the Supreme Court.Later, the High Court responded by ordering that the peasant laborers in the municipalities should be included in the ‘Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa’ scheme within 4 weeks. It has issued instructions to the CS.
