NOB- New Delhi news: The Union Home Ministry has decided to make a major change in the birth certificate rules. It is now mandatory to provide information about the religion of the parents of the new member of the family. Under it, the mother, father’s religion and other information of the child born are recorded separately. Until now, as per this rule, information about the religion of the family had to be entered in the information application about the birth of the child. But Union Home Ministry has prepared draft model rules in this regard. The proposed changes have been sent to all states.
Record information on a new call
In previous registration application No-1 regarding the birth of minor child, there was entry in family religion. Now under the New Testament, another column has been added to it. The Center has made it mandatory to provide information related to the child’s parents in this column. Form No-1 is required for adoption process. Last year, the Union government passed the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Act. According to this registration of birth and death has been made mandatory. The government plans to use this information for various government schemes and various identity cards in the near future. It is used for these services based on the database obtained from Birth Registration Form No – 1 based on the information provided by us. This information will be useful for updating many documents. For that we don’t need to give photo copy of document 10 times. This information about the child’s birth is saved as a digital certificate in a single document.
