NOB- Bhadradri Kothagudem news: The establishment of an airport in Kothagudem is imminent, and teams from the Airport Authority of India will visit various mandals in Kothagudem on the 20th of January 2025, said State Agriculture Department Mathyulu Tummala Nageswara Rao. He recalled that he had recently met the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Rammohan Naidu, and requested him to expedite the steps for the establishment of an airport in Kothagudem. While permission was denied in the Kothagudem area, which was previously suggested for construction, as the land around Kothagudem was not suitable, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao recently wrote a letter to Union Minister Rammohan Naidu stating that several lands have been identified in Kothagudem, Chunchupalli and Sujathanagar mandals under Kothagudem and a survey should be conducted there. In response to that letter, the Union Minister stated in the letter that a special team would have to come to examine the feasibility of constructing the airport and the expenses incurred for that would have to be borne by the state government. Responding to this, Minister Tummala personally met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and explained the issue to them. The Chief Minister, who responded immediately, issued a special GO for the release of the necessary funds for that. With this, the funds were sanctioned. Minister Tummala explained this matter in a letter to Union Minister Rammohan Naidu. He also requested that orders be issued to conduct the survey as soon as possible. He asked that several areas be identified to conduct a survey for a suitable site in the district and that the feasibility of those lands be confirmed. It was revealed that a special team is coming to Bhadradri Kothagudem district to examine the feasibility of setting up an airport at the request of Minister Tummala. Minister Tummala instructed the district collector to make all the necessary arrangements for the visit of this team. He wanted the revenue machinery to take action without any shortcomings anywhere. He said that if an airport is set up in the vicinity of Kothagudem, the shape of the district will change. Minister Tummala said that the government has already approved the formation of a corporation by merging Kothagudem with Palvancha. Minister Tummala said that rapid steps are being taken for the construction of an airport in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. He said that the shape of Kothagudem district will change with the establishment of the airport. The minister said that thousands of youth will get job opportunities. He said that the airport will contribute a lot to the development of commerce, tourism and industry. He said that this airport will contribute a lot to the heavy water industry in Bhadrachalam, known as South Ayodhya, Kothagudam, known for Singareni mines and Ashwapuram. He said that the cooperation of the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Minister for Roads and Buildings, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, for the establishment of the airport is unforgettable. He said that funds were sanctioned immediately after asking and that they provided assistance in identifying the lands required for the airport. He reminded on this occasion that the Telangana government is working with the goal of development.
