NOB- Suryapet news: Suryapet District SP Narasimha IPS revealed the details of the case at a media conference held at the Suryapet District Police Office. The SP was accompanied by DSP Prasanna Kumar, DWO Narasimha Rao, DCPO Subbalakshmi, CI Rajasekhar, CCS Inspector Shiva Kumar, Special Branch Inspector Nagabushana Rao, SIs Balu Nayak, Gopi Krishna, and CCS staff. The SP said that illegal adoption of children is a crime. Those who do not have children should go ahead with the law to adopt. If the parents who do not have children apply to the Adoption Resource Authority, the concerned organization will inquire and if there are all possibilities for adoption, the parents can adopt according to the law, the SP said. The case of illegal child trafficking and illegal adoption was solved jointly by the District Child Protection Officers, Suryapet Rural Police, and CCS Police. On 28-05-2025, a 13-member child trafficking gang was arrested, (07) male infants and (03) female infants were adopted from various villages of Suryapet & Nalgonda districts. (02) boys from Tekumatla, (02) girls from Suryapet town, (01) boy from Penpahad, (02) boys from Uppalapahad in Suryapet district, (01) girl from Chinna Suraram from Nalgonda district and (01) boy from Hyderabad were rescued. All the children were handed over to the Child Welfare Centre in Nalgonda. 13 accused were remanded. It is learnt that a person named Yadagiri and Uma Rani from Suryapet town used to distribute eggs and get to know about childless parents and, depending on the type of girl/boy child, they would bargain for a total of Rs. 5 to 10 lakhs and provide them with illegally adopted children. The above mentioned villages were visited and it was found that A3 accused were illegally adopting children to childless parents through alcoholism. We have found that there are sources of connection from Maharashtra and Gujarat. There are similar cases against A6, A8, A9, A10, A11 accused in the past in Medipalli, Munagala, Mangalagiri, Jangaon and CID Mumbai.

Arrest of the accused:On 28-05-2025 at 10 am, based on reliable information regarding illegal adoptions, the two adoptees who had illegally giving children for adoption were taken into custody and based on their confessions, accused A-1 & A-2 were arrested. Similarly, when it was reported that a group of child trafficking gangs had come to Suryapet to discuss illegal adoption and they were now available at the Hi-Tech bus stand in Suryapet, the police who reached there immediately arrested the accused A-3 to A-13. The accused will be produced before the JFCM Court, Suryapet. Further investigation is underway to identify the accused and the real parents behind this in this case. The CCS led by Suryapet DSP, Suryapet Police Inspector M. Shiva Kumar, Circle-Inspector of Police G. Rajasekhar, Suryapet Rural Police Inspector, CCS SI P. Hari Krishna, Suryapet Rural SI Balu Nayak, Pen Pahad Police SI K. Gopi Krishna, Chivvenla Police SI V. Mahesh and CCS personnel were arrested by the District Police Officer K. Narasimha congratulated him.
