NOB- Gachibowli news: Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari announced that CM Cup 2025 will be held from the grassroots, with a mission to identify and encourage rural sports talent. Reviewing arrangements with District Youth & Sports Development Officers at Gachibowli Stadium, the Minister said the event will be organized in a festival like atmosphere with Sports Torch Rallies across all Assembly constituencies. He stressed that the Cup will not be conducted as a routine exercise but as a state wide people’s movement, involving MLAs, Collectors, officials, sports associations, PETs, and Physical Directors cutting across party lines. Competitions will not be limited to Hyderabad, they will be held in all erstwhile districts, focusing on popular local games to ensure mass participation. Every participant’s details will be documented to track performance and provide future opportunities in sports, education, and others. Certificates from CM Cup will carry special weightage in academics etc., The best five districts that successfully conduct the Cup will be recognized and rewarded, while strict action will be taken against negligence. The Minister Srihari Vakiti praised officials working sincerely despite administrative hurdles and said, “With strong determination and the encouragement of CM , step-by-step sports development can be achieved.” Sports Authority Chairman Shiva Sena Reddy urged all constituencies to organize Sports Torch Rallies to spread awareness and mobilize youth participation. Sports Advisor A.P. Jitender Reddy emphasized including sports associations in planning and execution. Dates for CM Cup 2025 competitions and torch rallies will be announced soon. Sports Authority VC & MD Dr. Soni Bala Devi and other officials were present.
