The central government recently announced that the services will initially be launched in the national capital, Delhi, from January 1st 2026. The app-based services will then be made available nationwide. The services will include auto-rickshaws, cabs, and bike services. The government has stated that all arrangements for these services have been completed. The Bharat Taxi app will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. Users can register with their mobile number. Passengers will benefit from relief from existing cab fares, as these services will be available without any service charges. The government stated that approximately 56,000 drivers have registered with the Bharat Taxi app. In this service, 100% of the revenue generated from rides will be paid to the drivers.
