Delhi court sends Kavitha to judicial custody till April 9

NOB- New Delhi news:  Delhi court on 26.03.2024 sent BRS leader Kavitha to judicial custody till April 9th 2024 as the Enforcement Directorate (ED)’s custody came to an end. The ED had requested the court to send the accused to 15 days judicial custody. Following which, senior advocate Vikram Chaudhari, appearing for urged the court to hear the interim bail plea on the grounds that the exams of her 16-year-old son are about to begin. The ED, however, stated that if interim bail is to be considered, the agency must be allowed to file a reply. The court gave ED one week to file its response. Kavitha, the daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, was sent to seven days ED custody on March 17th 2024 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case after her arrest. On March 23rd 2024, the court extended her ED custody by three days. The Supreme Court on March 22nd 2024 had refused to grant any relief to the BRS leader, asking her to approach a trial court for bail.
